We employ a double anonymity protocol to ensure user privacy: Users remain anonymous to the online service providers and to XIdMe, and the age verification services are unaware of the reason for the verification request.
Our role is straightforward: we receive confirmation of the user’s age, we register the proof of age using blockchain technology, and we relay this proof to the online service provider who in turn gives access to their content.
When you wish to access age-restricted content online, XIdMe will automatically select and propose government-approved age verification methods based on your location.
The proof of age is generated and transferred seamlessly to the online service provider, giving you access to the content in less than one minute from the time of request.
Once the age verification is complete we offer the option to record the proof of age either in the blockchain, via a mobile phone, or through the XIdMe app, enabling you to use it for accessing other age-restricted online services.
